Only because just in case the conversation is lacking, we can focus on the pretentious people around us and occupy the silence by stuffing our mouths with food. But seriously, it's just a good time to talk and get to know someone. Don't' worry, I'll carry the conversation if I have to.

It's better to know a person when you are out and about with them just carrying on what would be done in a normal day. First dates to me is about talking and getting to know eachother more and running errands and other stuff can be a fundamental beginning. I enjoy walking and chit chatting.
